BNC's regular spring beamtime proposal submission is postponed to autumn. The Budapest Research Reactor recently received an extension of the operation licence until December, 2033 - with some constraints. Although the reactor will remain operational, the operation schedule will be affected in the coming months. The reactor schedule and the next proposal submission deadline will be communicated by mid-summer, 2024. More details here.

The submission deadline for BNC's regular science proposals to use one or more of the 14 instruments has been extended to 9 April, 2023. Some thematic projects eligible to use BNC instruments have different submission deadlines. User experiments can be conducted remotely following an agreement with the respective instrument responsible. The tentative reactor schedule for Q3 and Q4 of 2023 will be finalized around end of June. CERIC-ERIC calls for proposals to access more than 60 instruments and support laboratories for research in materials, biomaterials and nanotechnology.
