Science at BNC
The neutron beams from the research reactor are used to study various characteristics and processes in a wide variaty of material systems. Neutrons can be used to investigate different time- and length-scales
Results obtained at the 18 experimental stations of BNC are utilized in physics, chemistry, materials science, biology, earth sciences, engineering, and cultural heritage research. Research at BNC is illustrated by a few highlights in condensed matter, phase transitions, materials science, (metallic and composite systems, disordered materials, glasses, molecular liquids, aqueous liquids), biological systems, industry-related projects, and cultural heritage research.
