CERIC
CERIC-ERIC is a distributed multidisciplinary Research Infrastructure open for basic and applied users in the fields of Materials, Biomaterials and Nanotechnology. With a single entry point to the excellent facilities, it allows structural investigations, analysis and synthesis of materials, using photon, electron, neutron, and ion based techniques.
The member states are Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia but the consortium is open to further interested countries to join.
The specific scope of CERIC is to offer researchers an integrated service to access synchrotron light and other microscopic probes for analysis and modification techniques for materials characterization and preparation, structural investigations and imaging in Life Sciences, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Cultural Heritage, Enviroment and Materials Sciences along with their various technological and industrial outcomes ranging from energy to biomedical and of interest to most manufacturing industries.
CERIC’s mission is to bring the integrated service to world-level quality thus to contribute to the attractiveness of the European Research Area and to stimulate a beneficial impact on the scientific and economic development of the entire region, and to foster a vivid interchange between scientists and technicians and to attract scientists from other regions.
