The Budapest Neutron Centre (BNC) of the Centre for Energy Research (EK) and the Institute of Nuclear Techniques of the
Budapest University for Technology and Economics (BME) organized a hands-on training school on nuclear data
measurement at Research Reactors, between 25 Sept - 29 Sept 2023 in Budapest, Hungary.

The event was financially supported by the H2020 ARIEL project (Euratom research and training programme 2014-2018,
grant No 847594) and was attended by 24 young talents selected by the School's International Advisory Committee.

In addition to the prestigious invited lecturers (Dr. Roberto Capote Noy of the IAEA, Dr. Oscar Cabellos de Francisco
of Polytechnic University of Madrid), eight theoretical lectures were given by the staff members of the BNC and BME
about nuclear measurement technology, radiations & interactions, cross-section measurements, neutron flux measurements,
theory of reactor physics, neutron damage of materials and simulation of neutron capture gamma-ray spectra.

Practical software and nuclear database demonstrations, as well as flash presentations from the participants, were also
part of the program. This was followed by two days of hands-on training at the premises of the 10-MW Budapest Research
Reactor (BRR) and the 100-kW Training Reactor of the Nuclear Technology Institute.

All the training materials are openly available on the website of the training school,
