The European Spallation Source will be the first spallation neutron facility to operate a low-dimensional moderator as part of its target systems. Hungary's Wigner Research Centre at BNC is building a prototype of the ESS moderator test beamline to optimise the novel technology.

SINE2020’s Industry Consultancy programme demonstrates the potential of neutron technology to European companies. It encourages industrial partners to exploit the unique properties of neutron beams for R&D. SINE2020 finances test measurements and feasibility studies to be performed at European neutron research facilities free of charge.
