Fri, 31 May, 2019The European Conference on Neutron Scattering (ECNS 2019) will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, June 30 - July 5, 2019. The conference is held every four years under the patronage of the European Neutron Scattering Association (ENSA). Previous ECNS conferences: Interlaken (1996), Budapest (1999), Montpellier (2003), Lund (2007), Prague (2011) and Zaragoza (2015). Topics that will be covered are directly related with the European Great Challenges.

Fri, 10 May, 2019Conference entitled , One-day conference 'Science, innovation, competitiveness' aiming to bring together experts, new-comers, students who have already used, or are potentially interested in utilizing large research infrastructures, in particular neutron techniques available at the Budapest Neutron Centre. The conference is sponsored by the SINE2020 project (of the framework H2020), in which BNC is one of the 12 EU partners. -

Thu, 28 Mar, 2019The Budapest Research Reactor has been safely operating on the KFKI campus in Csillebérc for 60 years by now. Its successful launch in March, 1959 was a milestone in research and technology for the domestic scientific and engineering community. Its scientific significance and the sometimes surprising use of the results of the research there were also discussed at a ceremony held at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 28 March, 2019. -
Budapest Research Reactor - 60 years of research and innovation

LENS launched with BNC as member
Wed, 27 Mar, 2019Members of the League of advanced European Neutron Sources (LENS), officially launched activities to promote collaboration on neutron usage, technology development, innovation, data, education, and strategies. By aligning policies among its partners, LENS will advocate for the user community and strengthen European neutron science. -
BNC Science Proposals call
Fri, 15 Mar, 2019The BNC user program includes 14 experimental stations, to carry out research in physics, chemistry, biology, materials, medical and cultural heritage sciences. ~140 scientists from Hungary and abroad perform ~180 experiments / year. BNC also provides access to facilities for isotope production and neutron irradiation. BNC now calls for Science Proposals. Deadline: 15 April, 2019 -
